We just made it back from our 2 month check up and shots. Drew did extremely well with the shots. Of course, he let out a pitiful cry at injection, but it was over and he was in mommy's arms in a flash. Then he went right back to smiling. The biggest shocker was that he is now 11 pounds! Daddy and I had a bet going about his weight, and we both lost! Both of us were way under.
The sad part of the day was filling out Callie's pre-K registration. I'm happy that she will be going to school next year, but sad that she is growing up so fast. It's going to be super weird seeing her in uniforms instead of the frilly little dresses that she is obsessed with right now!
So I'm a little behind on this, but you can get that stuff to rub on their leg about an hour before the appointment to numb the area so the shots won't hurt. You just rub a small amount on their leg and cover it w/ a bandaid about an hour before the appt. I used it all the time w/Jada & it's awesome. Ask your pedi about it. It comes in a tube & you'll only need one for all their shots.
